I was given this notebook a few days ago. It was a lovely gift. It also carries a very powerful message. One that has been very powerful in my life. 

I’m my early career I’d hear people moaning about work. I’d innocently say “why don’t you do something different then?” That wasn’t what they wanted hear. I wasn’t referring to moving companies – not a great statement from someone working in HR! What I meant was, why wait for others to change things to improve?

Some people are happy to be unhappy. Fact. But those that “are the change” can have the most wonderful work life. I know 😬
